Robinson Ads for Trobbel Film

We have  just finished some Robinson-ads for director Thomas Lunde at Trobbel Film. We did all the post (offline & online) and in the end we decided to do a makeover of the logo-sequence. We wanted the ad to have a film trailer feeling and therefore needed to make the logo-sequence more dramatic and cinematic. It was a easy job, but it gave the ads a more correct ending. We animated the logo in 3D and made the sky from photos.

We made a 30 sec ad and 5 teasers, and they will appear on TV and at stripe.no later this fall. Here´s a peak.

"Robinson by night"

The ads have a little bit different feeling so we did a “by night” and “by day” version.

Crash Test Dummies

When Baal aproached us about doing a digital crash test dummy for their next Viking shoe-campaign we lept at the task. We did 4 3D-renders which Baal then implemented in photos. The ads has been run in the magazines “Fri Flyt“, “Jakt & Fiske” and “Fjell & Vidde“.

Transformers fruit juice

Recently Tine released it’s Sunniva fruit juices with new packaging. The agency responsible, Spilberg, hired Qvisten and director Rasmus Sivertsen to produce the tv-commercial which were shot in a studio here in Oslo.

The film relies as much as possible on practical elements like apples on sticks and fish-line, but Stripe was hired to do all of the compositing and 3D computer graphics as well as paint removal of said wires.

Martin is back

Last September Martin left us for the far east and surfing the waves of the Australian beaches… well not entirely. Although he was living near Bondi beach and had plenty of opportunities to surf and kite he’s been busy working for Z-Space, amongst others, most of the time.

We’re very happy to have him back and can’t wait to put his new learned skills to good use!

VFX for Babusjka

We are in pre production for a music video together with Babusjka and director Kristoffer Borgli. Here is a couple of sketches we have done so far. We are making these so the director and make-up department have a reference on the set.

Idefagskolen

Last week we had the pleasure of having Steinar Husby, Severin Mathiesen and Philip Johansen, three students from Idefagskolen, at our disposal.

We managed to keep them busy and although we can’t talk about most of what they did we can at least show their take on the Stripe logo.

WWF: Earth Hour

On the 28th of March the first Earth Hour were arranged here in Norway. We were so lucky as to be asked to contribute on a TV-commercial together with DDB, Einar Film and The Chimney Pot amongst others.

First Previz

From the first production meeting we did a rough 3D mockup where we locked the camera angle and position based on what we had agreed upon.

On the set

The finished set from the day of the shoot. We had to extend the set on the right side and add an extra monitor as well as content on the screens

Tommy

Poor Tommy had to stuff himself with bananas the whole day. We went through 50 bananas during the shoot and they had to go to the store no less than three times to get enough. Tommy ate between 15 and 20 bananas, but didn't complain once! I guess he's not too fond of them any more...

The finished video was a massive hit on YouTube and ranked the number 15 most seen video for a while. Odd enough it was the most seen video in Mexico after a few days.
