Inky and his friends / Blekkulf og hans venner

We just finished up work on a fully animated Pilot for the famous environment agent Inky (Blekkulf in Norwegian).

This was collaborative job with Qvisten animation for Nordisk Film, where Qvisten did concept, modeling, rigging and animation, and Stripe did texturing, shading, lighting, rendering and composite.

The main purpose with the pilot was to introduce the general look and feel for the upcoming series and possibly feature film about our hero Inky and his friends. The Pilot and before that a teaser trailer was shown for the firs time at internationally acclaimed Cartoon Forum which took place in the Norwegian city of Stavanger in September this year.

The complex task of making underwater world’s was by far the most demanding task of the production. We tried to make the environment as organic and alive as possible. With the use of animated ocean surfaces, caustics, godrays, bubbles and animated vegetation we made sure that the every frame had the look and feel of underwater.

The pilot was a great success, and Nordisk film who was the client was very pleased with the result.

Stripe would like to thank the team at Qvisten and all the freelancers that worked on this very intense production.

DNB-Nor Commercial

Recently DNB-Nors new TVcampaing started running here in Norway. The 20-something films features Norwegian top athletes, sponsored by DNB-Nor, in different situations where they do bank transactions using only their mobile phones.

We did work on one of the commercials, with the snowboarder Helene, and supervised the hellicopter shots on one of the other films.

Break

Most of the work consisted of removing ugly marks on the walls and inserting content on the different lcd screens and posters.

The most complex shot in the film was the establishing shot where we can se the whole airport outside of the windows. 3D models combined with a matte painting did the trick.

Agency was DDB, the production was by Einar Film and director was Morten Tyldum.

Crash Test Dummies

When Baal aproached us about doing a digital crash test dummy for their next Viking shoe-campaign we lept at the task. We did 4 3D-renders which Baal then implemented in photos. The ads has been run in the magazines “Fri Flyt“, “Jakt & Fiske” and “Fjell & Vidde“.
